1 Scope
These Attendee Purchase Terms ("Purchase Terms") apply to all ticket purchases and event registrations made through the EventMann platform, operated by ChetsApp UG. By purchasing a ticket or registering for an event on EventMann, you agree to these Purchase Terms in addition to our general Terms of Service.
EventMann acts as a technology intermediary that facilitates ticket sales between you (the "Attendee") and the event organizer (the "Organizer"). When you purchase a ticket, you are entering into a contract with the Organizer for attendance at their event. ChetsApp UG is not a party to this contract and is not responsible for the event itself.
These Purchase Terms apply to all types of tickets available on EventMann, including paid tickets, free registrations, group tickets, tiered tickets, and bundle packages.
2 Ticket Purchase Process
EventMann supports two ticket purchasing modes, which are determined by the Organizer:
Pay Now mode:
- You select your tickets, proceed to checkout, and complete payment immediately.
- Your booking is confirmed as soon as payment is successfully processed.
- You will receive a confirmation email with your tickets (including QR codes) within minutes of purchase.
- Tickets are held in your cart for a limited time during checkout. If payment is not completed, the tickets are released back to the available inventory.
Approval mode:
- You submit a booking request to the Organizer, who reviews and either approves or declines your request.
- If approved, you will receive a notification with a link to complete payment within the Organizer-defined payment window.
- Your booking is only confirmed once payment is completed. If you do not pay within the specified window, the approval expires and the tickets are released.
- The Organizer is not obligated to approve any booking request and may decline at their discretion.
For free events, no payment is required. Your registration is confirmed immediately (Pay Now mode) or upon Organizer approval (Approval mode). You will receive a confirmation email with your registration details.
3 Payment Processing
All payments on EventMann are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Here is what you need to know about how payments work:
- Card data security: Your payment card details (card number, expiry date, CVV) are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form. This data is transmitted directly to Stripe and never passes through or is stored on EventMann's servers.
- Accepted methods: We accept major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, as well as various local payment methods supported by Stripe in your region.
- Currency: Ticket prices are displayed in the currency set by the Organizer. If your card is denominated in a different currency, your bank or card issuer may apply currency conversion fees.
- Receipts: A payment confirmation and receipt are sent to your registered email address upon successful purchase. You can also access your booking history and receipts from your EventMann dashboard.
- Failed payments: If your payment fails, no tickets will be issued and no funds will be charged. Common reasons for failure include insufficient funds, card restrictions, or incorrect card details.
ChetsApp UG does not store, process, or have access to your full payment card information at any time. For questions about payment processing, chargebacks, or disputes, please refer to Stripe's documentation or contact us for assistance.
4 Refund Policy
Refund policies on EventMann are set by each individual Organizer and displayed prominently on the event page before you complete your purchase. It is your responsibility to review and understand the refund policy before purchasing tickets.
Organizers may offer one of the following refund options:
- No refunds: Tickets are non-refundable under any circumstances (except event cancellation by the Organizer).
- 24-hour refund: Full refund available if requested within 24 hours of purchase.
- 48-hour refund: Full refund available if requested within 48 hours of purchase.
- 7-day refund: Full refund available if requested within 7 days of purchase.
To request a refund within the eligible window, navigate to your booking details page in your dashboard and click "Request Refund." Refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days, depending on your card issuer.
Important: Regardless of the Organizer's refund policy, if an Organizer cancels an event, you are entitled to a full refund. These refunds are processed automatically. Stripe's processing fees are non-refundable by Stripe and are borne by the Organizer.
5 Ticket Transfers & Resale
Ticket transferability is determined by the Organizer for each event:
- Transfers enabled: If the Organizer has enabled ticket transfers, you may transfer your ticket to another person through the platform. To transfer a ticket, go to your booking details and enter the recipient's email address. The recipient will receive a new ticket with a unique QR code, and your original ticket will be invalidated.
- Transfers disabled: If the Organizer has not enabled transfers, tickets are non-transferable and must be used by the original purchaser. Attempting to transfer non-transferable tickets outside the platform may result in the ticket being voided.
Resale: Unauthorized ticket resale — including resale above face value (scalping) — is prohibited unless the Organizer has explicitly enabled resale functionality and set acceptable markup limits. Tickets purchased through unauthorized resale channels may be voided by the Organizer without refund.
EventMann is not responsible for tickets purchased through third-party resale platforms. Only tickets purchased directly through EventMann or transferred through our official transfer feature are guaranteed to be valid.
6 Event Changes & Cancellations
Events listed on EventMann are organized and managed solely by the Organizer. ChetsApp UG does not control event content, scheduling, or execution. The following may occur:
- Date or time changes: The Organizer may change the date or time of an event. You will be notified by email if such a change occurs. Depending on local consumer protection laws, you may be entitled to a refund if the new date is unsuitable.
- Venue changes: The Organizer may change the venue. You will be notified by email. If the new venue is substantially different (e.g., different city), you may be entitled to a refund.
- Line-up or program changes: Changes to speakers, performers, or program content are at the Organizer's discretion and generally do not entitle you to a refund unless the change is material and fundamentally alters the nature of the event.
- Event cancellation: If the Organizer cancels the event, all confirmed ticket holders will receive a full automatic refund through Stripe. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days.
ChetsApp UG is not liable for any losses, costs, or damages arising from event changes, postponements, or cancellations by the Organizer. This includes but is not limited to travel expenses, accommodation costs, and lost time.
7 Attendee Responsibilities
As an attendee, you agree to the following responsibilities:
- Accurate information: Provide truthful and accurate personal information during registration and ticket purchase. Tickets purchased with fraudulent information may be voided.
- Ticket validity: Present a valid ticket (digital QR code) at the event venue. Ensure your phone is charged or bring a printed copy of your ticket. Each ticket QR code can only be scanned once — duplicate use will be rejected.
- Event rules: Comply with the Organizer's event rules, venue policies, and any applicable laws while attending the event.
- Age restrictions: If an event has age restrictions, you must meet the minimum age requirement. Organizers may verify your age at entry.
- Conduct: Behave responsibly and respectfully toward other attendees, Organizer staff, and venue personnel. Disruptive or dangerous behavior may result in removal from the event without refund.
Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in denied entry, removal from the event, or restrictions on your EventMann account.
8 Disputes
If you have a dispute regarding a ticket purchase, event experience, or refund, we encourage you to follow this process:
- Contact the Organizer: Most issues can be resolved directly with the Organizer. Use the messaging feature on the event page or the contact details provided by the Organizer.
- Contact EventMann: If you are unable to resolve the issue with the Organizer, please contact us. Our support team will review your case and mediate where possible.
- Payment disputes: If you believe a charge was made in error or fraudulently, you may dispute it with your bank or card issuer. Please note that filing a chargeback for a legitimate purchase is considered fraud and may result in account termination.
For EU consumers: you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/odr. Additionally, you have the right to file complaints with your local consumer protection authority.
ChetsApp UG will make reasonable efforts to assist in resolving disputes between Attendees and Organizers, but we are not a party to the ticket sale contract and cannot guarantee any particular outcome. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably are subject to the jurisdiction outlined in our Terms of Service.
