Community Guidelines

Last updated: March 30, 2026

1 Purpose

EventMann is a platform that brings together event organizers, attendees, vendors, and sponsors from all backgrounds. These Community Guidelines exist to ensure that every participant can enjoy a safe, respectful, and productive experience on our platform.

By using EventMann, you agree to follow these guidelines in all your interactions — whether creating events, purchasing tickets, leaving reviews, or communicating with other users. These guidelines apply to all content you post, events you organize, and conduct at events facilitated through our platform.

We believe that a thriving event community is built on mutual respect, honesty, and accountability. These guidelines complement our Terms of Service and are enforced consistently across all user roles.

2 Event Content Standards

All events listed on EventMann must meet the following content standards:

  • Accuracy: Event descriptions, dates, times, venues, and pricing must be truthful and complete. Misleading or deceptive listings undermine trust and are not tolerated.
  • Legality: Events must comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws. Events promoting illegal activities are strictly prohibited.
  • Appropriateness: Event content, including images and descriptions, must be suitable for a general audience unless the event is explicitly marked as age-restricted. Graphic violence, explicit sexual content, and hate speech are never permitted.
  • Originality: Event images and descriptions must not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others. Use only content you have the right to publish.

Organizers are responsible for ensuring that all content associated with their events — including updates, communications to attendees, and marketing materials distributed through our platform — meets these standards at all times.

3 Attendee Conduct

Attendees play a vital role in creating positive event experiences. When using EventMann, attendees are expected to:

  • Respect other users: Treat organizers, fellow attendees, vendors, and staff with courtesy and respect in all communications and interactions on the platform.
  • Provide accurate information: Supply truthful personal information during registration and ticket purchase. Using false identities or fraudulent payment methods is prohibited.
  • Honour ticket terms: Comply with the specific terms and conditions set by each event organizer, including refund policies, transfer restrictions, and entry requirements.
  • Report issues responsibly: If you encounter a problem with an event or another user, use our reporting tools rather than engaging in public disputes or harassment.

Attendees who engage in abusive behavior — including harassment of organizers, fraudulent chargebacks, or disruptive conduct — may have their accounts suspended or permanently terminated.

4 Organizer Obligations

Organizers are the backbone of the EventMann community. With the ability to create events and sell tickets comes a heightened responsibility to our community:

  • Deliver on promises: You must deliver the event experience as described in your listing. If circumstances change, communicate promptly and transparently with all ticket holders.
  • Respond to attendees: Address attendee questions, concerns, and refund requests in a timely manner. We recommend responding within 48 hours.
  • Maintain professionalism: All communications with attendees, vendors, and sponsors should be professional, respectful, and free of discriminatory language.
  • Handle data responsibly: As a data controller for attendee information collected through your events, you must handle personal data in compliance with GDPR and our Data Processing Agreement.
  • Ensure safety: Take reasonable measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of attendees at your events, including compliance with venue capacity limits and safety regulations.

Organizers who consistently fail to meet these obligations risk suspension of their event-creation privileges and account termination.

5 Prohibited Content

The following types of content and activities are strictly prohibited on EventMann:

  • Hate speech and discrimination: Content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Harassment and bullying: Targeted harassment, threats, intimidation, doxxing, or any conduct designed to cause fear or distress to another user.
  • Fraud and deception: Fake events, misleading ticket listings, counterfeit tickets, pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, or any form of financial fraud.
  • Illegal activities: Events or content that promote, facilitate, or glorify illegal activities including but not limited to drug trafficking, weapons sales, money laundering, or human trafficking.
  • Explicit content: Pornographic, sexually explicit, or gratuitously violent content in event listings, images, or communications.
  • Spam and manipulation: Unsolicited commercial messages, fake reviews, artificially inflated attendance numbers, or manipulation of platform features.
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be another person, organization, or entity, or falsely claiming affiliation with any party.

We take prohibited content seriously. Content that violates these rules will be removed, and repeat offenders will face permanent account termination.

6 Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Community Guidelines, we encourage you to report it promptly. You can report violations through the following channels:

  • In-platform reporting: Use the "Report" button available on event pages, user profiles, and messages to flag problematic content directly.
  • Contact form: For more detailed reports or issues that don't fit the standard reporting categories, please contact us with a description of the violation, relevant URLs, and any supporting evidence.

All reports are reviewed by our trust and safety team. We treat every report seriously and investigate thoroughly. Reports are handled confidentially — we will not reveal the identity of the reporter to the reported party unless required by law.

Please do not abuse the reporting system. Filing false or frivolous reports to harass other users or gain a competitive advantage is itself a violation of these guidelines.

7 Enforcement Actions

When we determine that a user has violated these Community Guidelines, we may take one or more of the following actions depending on the severity and frequency of the violation:

  • Warning: For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a written warning explaining the violation and requesting corrective action.
  • Content removal: We may remove or hide any content that violates these guidelines, including event listings, images, descriptions, and messages.
  • Feature restriction: We may temporarily restrict specific features such as event creation, messaging, or ticket purchasing.
  • Account suspension: For serious or repeated violations, we may suspend your account for a defined period (typically 7 to 90 days).
  • Permanent termination: For the most serious violations — including fraud, illegal activity, or persistent abuse — we may permanently terminate your account and ban you from the platform.

We strive to enforce these guidelines fairly and proportionally. The specific action taken will depend on the nature and severity of the violation, the user's history, and the potential harm to the community. In cases involving illegal activity, we may also report the matter to relevant law enforcement authorities.

8 Appeals

If you believe that an enforcement action was taken against your account in error, you have the right to appeal. Appeals must be submitted within 30 days of the enforcement action.

To file an appeal, please contact us with the following information:

  • Your account email address
  • A description of the enforcement action you are appealing
  • Your explanation of why you believe the action was unwarranted or disproportionate
  • Any supporting evidence or context

Our trust and safety team will review your appeal and respond within 14 business days. During the appeal process, the original enforcement action remains in effect unless we determine that immediate reinstatement is warranted.

Please note that appeal decisions are final. We reserve the right to uphold, modify, or reverse any enforcement action based on the information available to us.
