How to Buy Tickets

Purchasing tickets on EventMann is a quick, secure process. Whether you are attending a concert, conference, or workshop, this guide walks you through every step from finding an event to receiving your tickets.

Step 1: Find an Event

1. Browse the homepage to see featured and upcoming events in your area.
2. Use the search bar at the top of any page to search by event name, city, venue, or keyword.
3. Filter by category (Music, Sports, Arts, Technology, Food, and more) to narrow your results.
4. Check the "For You" section on your dashboard for personalised recommendations based on your booking history and preferences.

Step 2: Check Event Details

Click on any event to open its detail page. Before purchasing, review the following:

• Date & time — make sure the schedule works for you, including timezone
• Venue & location — check the address, map, and any access instructions
• Event description — read the full description, schedule/agenda, and any FAQs
• Organizer profile — see who is hosting and their past events
• Refund policy — review the refund terms before purchasing

Step 3: Select Your Tickets

1. Choose a ticket type from the available options (e.g. General Admission, VIP, Early Bird, Group).
2. Set the quantity using the +/- buttons. Some ticket types have minimum or maximum purchase limits.
3. Group tickets: If available, group tickets allow you to book for multiple people at a discounted rate. Select the group size within the allowed range.
4. Click "Get Tickets" to add them to your cart and proceed.

Step 4: Seat Selection (Seated Events Only)

If the event has a seat map, you will be shown an interactive seating chart after selecting your ticket type:

1. Browse sections on the map — different zones may have different pricing.
2. Click on available seats (shown in colour) to select them. Unavailable seats appear greyed out.
3. Confirm your selection and proceed to checkout.

Step 5: Apply a Discount Code

1. On the checkout page, look for the "Discount Code" field.
2. Enter your code exactly as provided (codes are case-sensitive).
3. Click "Apply" — the discount will be reflected in the order total immediately.

Discount codes may offer a percentage off, a fixed amount off, or apply only to specific ticket types. If the code is invalid or expired, you will see an error message.

Step 6: Review Your Order

Before payment, review your order summary carefully:

• Ticket details — type, quantity, and seat assignments (if applicable)
• Ticket price — the base price per ticket
• Service fee — a small fee that covers platform and payment processing costs. This is shown as a separate line item so you know exactly what you are paying.
• Total — the final amount that will be charged to your card

Fill in any checkout questions the organizer requires (e.g. dietary requirements, T-shirt size).

Step 7: Enter Payment Details

1. Enter your card details in the secure Stripe payment form. Accepted cards include Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
2. Click "Pay Now" to complete your purchase.

Step 8: Confirmation

Once payment is successful:

• You will see a confirmation page with your booking reference (format: BK-XXXXXXXX).
• A confirmation email is sent immediately to your registered email address, containing your QR code tickets.
• Your tickets are also available in Dashboard → My Tickets at any time.
