How to Transfer Tickets

Cannot attend an event? If the organizer has enabled ticket transfers, you can send your ticket to someone else. The recipient will receive a brand-new ticket with their own QR code, and your original ticket will be invalidated.

When Are Transfers Available?

Ticket transfers are only available when the event organizer has enabled the transfer feature for their event. If transfers are not enabled, you will not see the "Transfer Ticket" button on your booking page. In that case, contact the organizer directly to ask about your options.

How to Transfer a Ticket

  1. Go to your Dashboard and click "My Tickets" in the sidebar.
  2. Find the booking containing the ticket you want to transfer and click on it.
  3. Click "Transfer Ticket" next to the specific ticket you want to send.
  4. Enter the recipient's email address — they do not need an existing EventMann account (they can create one when accepting).
  5. Confirm the transfer by clicking "Send Transfer".

What Happens After You Initiate a Transfer?

  • The recipient receives an email with a link to accept the ticket transfer.
  • You receive a confirmation email that the transfer has been initiated.
  • Your ticket status changes to "Transfer Pending" until the recipient accepts or the transfer expires.

After the Transfer Is Accepted

  • Your original ticket and QR code become invalid — they can no longer be used for check-in.
  • A new ticket with a new QR code is generated for the recipient.
  • Both you and the recipient receive email notifications confirming the completed transfer.
  • The ticket now appears in the recipient's My Tickets dashboard.

Transfer Expiry

The recipient has 7 days to accept the transfer. If they do not accept within this window, the transfer is automatically cancelled and your original ticket is restored to active status.

Can You Cancel a Transfer?

Yes. While the transfer is still pending (before the recipient accepts), you can cancel it:

  1. Go to My Tickets and open the booking.
  2. Click "Cancel Transfer" next to the pending transfer.
  3. Your original ticket will immediately be restored and active again.

Tip: Both you and the recipient receive email notifications at every stage — when the transfer is initiated, accepted, cancelled, or expired. Keep an eye on your inbox for updates.
