Vendor Guide

Clear, professional communication with event organisers is essential for successful vendor partnerships. EventMann provides a built-in messaging system that keeps all your conversations organised by event, making it easy to reference details and maintain a record of agreements.

Using the Messaging System

  1. Access messages — click "Messages" in your vendor sidebar to see all conversations, grouped by event.
  2. Start a conversation — from any active contract or event request, click "Message Organizer" to open a direct thread.
  3. Attach files — use the attachment button to share documents, photos, or quotes (max 10 MB per file).
  4. View history — all messages are permanently stored and searchable. Scroll up to review past exchanges at any time.

Notifications

Stay on top of organiser messages with EventMann's notification system:

  • Email alerts — receive an email for every new message (configurable in settings)
  • Dashboard badge — unread message count is shown in the sidebar
  • Browser notifications — enable push notifications for real-time alerts

Professional Communication Tips

  • Respond within 24 hours — even if just to acknowledge receipt
  • Be specific and concise — reference event names, dates, and contract numbers
  • Confirm verbal agreements in writing through the messaging system
  • Maintain a polite, professional tone even when resolving disagreements
  • Use the platform messaging (not personal email) so all communication is documented

Tip: Messages sent through the platform are time-stamped and cannot be edited or deleted, providing a reliable record if any disputes arise. Always use platform messaging for important discussions.
