Completing Assigned Tasks

Staff & Volunteers

In addition to your shift schedule, organisers may assign specific tasks that need to be completed before, during, or after the event. The task system helps you stay organised and gives organisers visibility into progress across their team.

Viewing Your Tasks

  1. Open My Tasks — from your dashboard, click "My Tasks" to see all tasks assigned to you, sorted by deadline.
  2. Review task details — each task includes a title, description, deadline, priority level (low/medium/high/urgent), and any attachments from the organiser.
  3. Filter and sort — use the filters to view tasks by event, status, or priority.

Updating Task Status

  1. Start working — click "Start Task" to move the status from "Pending" to "In Progress". This notifies the organiser that you've begun.
  2. Add updates — post progress notes or questions using the comment section on the task page.
  3. Attach photos — if the task requires photo evidence (e.g. "Set up the registration desk"), click "Attach Photo" to upload images directly from your device camera.
  4. Mark as complete — when finished, click "Complete Task". The organiser receives a notification and can verify the work.

Important: Tasks with deadlines are time-sensitive. Overdue tasks are flagged in red and may affect your staff rating. If you cannot complete a task on time, communicate with the organiser as early as possible.

Your task completion rate is tracked as part of your staff performance metrics. Maintaining a high completion rate and meeting deadlines consistently will improve your profile ranking and lead to more event opportunities.
