Check-in & Check-out
EventMann uses a digital check-in and check-out system to track your attendance at events. This ensures accurate time records for payroll and helps organisers manage on-site staffing levels in real time. Here's how it works.
Checking In
- Arrive at the venue — plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your shift start time.
- Open your staff dashboard — navigate to My Shifts on your phone or device.
- Scan the venue QR code — the organiser will have a check-in QR code posted at the staff entrance. Tap "Check In" and scan the code with your device camera.
- Confirm check-in — the system records your arrival time and notifies the shift manager. You'll see a green confirmation on your screen.
During Your Shift
- Break management — when taking a break, tap "Start Break" on your shift page. Tap "End Break" when you return. Break times are tracked separately and may or may not be paid depending on the event's policy.
- Overtime — if you're asked to stay beyond your scheduled end time, the system automatically tracks overtime hours once you pass your scheduled check-out time.
Checking Out
- Complete your duties — make sure all assigned tasks are done and your area is clean.
- Scan the check-out QR code — scan the same venue QR code or tap "Check Out" on your shift page.
- Confirm check-out — the system records your departure time and calculates your total hours worked.
- Review your hours — your timesheet for the shift is immediately available in Payments.
Important: If you forget to check out, the system will flag your shift as "incomplete". Contact your shift manager to manually adjust your check-out time. Incomplete shifts may delay your payment processing.
Tip: Make sure location services are enabled on your device. Some events use geo-fencing to verify you are at the venue when checking in, which prevents check-in errors.
