Adding a Venue
Adding a venue to EventMann involves providing all the essential information that event organisers need to decide if your space is right for their event. A thorough listing with complete details and photos will attract more inquiries and higher-quality bookings.
Follow these steps to create a comprehensive venue listing:
- Navigate to My Venues — from your dashboard, click "My Venues" in the sidebar, then click "Add Venue".
- Enter the venue name — use your venue's official name. If your venue has multiple spaces (e.g. "Grand Ballroom", "Garden Terrace"), you can add each as a separate venue or as rooms within one venue.
- Add the address — enter the full street address, city, postcode, and country. The system will geocode the address and display it on a map for organisers to see.
- Set the capacity — specify the maximum capacity for different configurations: standing, seated (theatre-style), seated (banquet-style), and classroom layout. This helps organisers match your space to their event size.
- List amenities — check all amenities your venue offers: Wi-Fi, parking, wheelchair access, kitchen/catering facilities, stage, AV equipment, outdoor space, air conditioning, toilets, and more.
- Write a description — compose a compelling description (200–500 words) covering your venue's character, typical event types, unique features, and neighbourhood. Think of this as your venue's elevator pitch.
- Upload photos — add at least 5 high-quality photos showing different angles, rooms, and setups. Set a cover photo that best represents your venue.
- Save and publish — review all details and click "Publish" to make your venue visible to organisers.
Tip: Mention nearby transport links, parking availability, and any restrictions (noise limits, end times, no open flames) in your description. Organisers appreciate transparency and it saves time during the inquiry stage.
Important: Ensure your venue's listed capacity complies with your local fire safety regulations and occupancy permits. Overstating capacity can create safety and legal issues.
