Understanding Your Pay

Staff & Volunteers

Getting paid for your event work on EventMann is straightforward and transparent. This guide explains how your earnings are calculated, when you get paid, and how to track your payment history.

How Pay Is Calculated

Your pay for each event is determined by the following factors:

  • Hourly rate — the base rate agreed upon when you accepted the role. This is set by the organiser and visible in the event listing before you apply.
  • Hours worked — calculated from your check-in and check-out times, minus any unpaid break periods.
  • Overtime — hours worked beyond your scheduled shift end time are typically paid at 1.5x the base rate, though this varies by event. Check the event terms for the specific overtime policy.
  • Bonuses — some organisers offer performance bonuses for exceptional work, completing all tasks, or handling last-minute changes.

Pay Schedule

  1. Shift completed — your hours are logged when you check out.
  2. Organiser review — the organiser verifies your timesheet (typically within 48 hours).
  3. Payment processing — once approved, payment is initiated to your configured payment method.
  4. Funds received — depending on your payment method, funds typically arrive within 3–5 business days.

Tracking Your Earnings

Navigate to Payments in your sidebar to see:

  • Payment history with event name, date, hours, and amount
  • Payment status: pending review, processing, or paid
  • Total earnings for any date range
  • Downloadable payment statements for tax purposes

Tip: Review your timesheet immediately after each shift. If you spot any discrepancies (wrong check-in/out time, missing overtime), contact the organiser within 48 hours to request a correction before the payment is processed.
