Organizer Guide

Transparency is a core principle of EventMann's pricing. This guide explains every fee involved when selling tickets, how fees are calculated, and how you can control who pays them.

Platform Commission

EventMann charges a percentage-based commission on each paid ticket sale. The exact rate depends on your pricing plan:

Each pricing plan has a set commission rate (e.g. 3%, 5%, 8%).
The commission is calculated on the ticket face value (the price you set).
Commission is deducted automatically before payouts reach your Stripe account.

To check your current commission rate, go to Organizer Settings → Billing. Your plan name and commission percentage are displayed on that page.

Stripe Processing Fees

Stripe charges its own payment processing fee on every transaction. This is separate from EventMann's commission:

Standard rate: approximately 2.9% + €0.25 per successful card payment.
Rates may vary slightly depending on your country, card type, and Stripe account terms.
Stripe fees are deducted before funds reach your Stripe balance.

Service Fee Options: Absorb or Pass to Attendee

For each ticket type, you can choose how to handle the service fee:

"Absorb fees" (you pay) — the attendee pays the exact ticket price you set. Fees are deducted from your revenue.
"Pass to attendee" (attendee pays) — the ticket price stays the same, and the service fee is added on top at checkout as a separate line item. The attendee sees both the ticket price and the fee.

Tip: When you choose "Pass to attendee", the price displayed on the event page is the base ticket price. The fee is shown at checkout so there are no surprises — but the attendee's total will be higher than the listed price.

Free Events

Free events are always free on EventMann — for both organizers and attendees. There are no platform fees, no processing fees, and no hidden charges of any kind.

Fee Calculation Example

Here is a real-world example to illustrate how fees work:

Ticket price: €50.00
Your pricing plan commission: 5% = €2.50
Stripe processing fee: 2.9% + €0.25 = €1.70
Total fees: €4.20

If you absorb fees: Attendee pays €50.00. You receive €50.00 − €4.20 = €45.80.

If you pass fees to attendee: Attendee pays €50.00 + €4.20 = €54.20. You receive €50.00.

How to Check Your Current Plan

Go to Organizer Settings from the sidebar.
Click "Billing" to see your current plan details.
Your plan shows: commission rate, maximum events, maximum tickets per event, and included features.

Important: Stripe processing fees are charged by Stripe directly and are non-negotiable through EventMann. Contact Stripe directly if you have questions about their fees or need volume pricing.
